This Saturday, 21st. January sees the opening of the Axarquia Art Exhibition at the Cultural Centre in Frigiliana, Nr Nerja on the Costa Del Sol.
I have five paintings in the expo consisting of four boat paintings in Estuary and Harbour settings and one of the Pavement Artists that frequent The Balcon, Nerja during the tourist season. The exhibition runs through until Saturday, 11th, February. My paintings are all on the Gallery Page if you want a preview.
The Reception is 4.00 - 8.00pm. I will be there from 4.00 p.m for about two hours and I hope to see you there.
I'm sorry to say that I have had to remove my website from www.artistsandillustrators.co.uk. I had a few problems uploading paintings initially, which were resolved with help from them. Their present system is geared to focussing on the centre of the pic and the thumbnails do not upload to display the whole pic without some time consuming juggling. It's unfortunate because the expanded view once you click on the thumbnail loads fully. However, later I could not get access into the account and despite considerable juggling eventually called in a computer specialist who, after full system check, said the problem was with the main site. Something that A&I declined to accept. So I have asked them to remove it.
This month I will be uploading back into Yessy who I used quite successfully a few years ago. I have already started to upload material and hope to have the site fully functional by the end of the month. Yessy will act as an agent for me on Credit/Debit card sales, which I do not handle myself.
One last word on the exhibition. Axarquia Art Group currentluy has fourteen Principle Members, of which I am one. This exhibition will also include work by Associate members who are applying for full membership. Well worth a visit.
